Happy New Year 2010 !!!

and happy new decade!! We drove down the interstate the other day and I remembered how crazy people were in 1999. They were afraid the world would end on 12/31/1999; computers would start crashing, cash registers would act up, trains would jump of the tracks as soon as that clock would hit 12.00 am . . . I'm glad to say that I'm still here, 10 years later and none of those things actually happened, not that I had thought they would. I was young, I guess I just didn't care LOL
We spent New Year's Eve at home, mixing some drinks from a recipe book we got at the 'Tales of the Toddy' event we visited a few weeks back.
We made some delicious Pear, Poire

and some Anjou Gem

I'm sure we'll find some other occasions to test the other recipes.

Rufus camped out in the Bathroom as every year. He started getting scared in the afternoon when the 1st fire crackers were lid.

He wasn't too scared to eat the Bone from our T-bone steaks, I guess he decided to man-up for that!!! Enough with the fire works until July 4th!!!

I am so excited about this new year. Things will be just better than ever and I'll become an aunt, too.

We don't have any travel plans yet but a visit to Germany will be in order :)
