We had a really good time. We were not allowed to take any cellphones, cameras (no pictures, sorry) pagers etc.; they had to stay in the car which had to stay locked.
They had a huge crafts show. The prisoners make all kinds of stuff, really nice furniture, to include curio cabinets, trunks, crosses, wooden roses etc. It's amazing how much talent some of those guys have and it's a shame they chose to spent their life behind bars.
The food was pretty good, too. A very big variety and the prices were very reasonable.
We got their at around 10 am and the rodeo started at 2 pm. It was amazing . . . those guys are really insane!!
We will definitely go back again. They have the rodeo every weekend in october and one weekend in May.

As long as I have lived in LA. I never went to an Angola Prison Rodeo..you see my mom told me to keep on the straight and narrow so I would never have to see such places...I'm not sure I would want to go there anyway....it's just me but that's my thoughts ...lol

Did I tell you that I would be working on Thanksgiving Day? Well I will if they need me to since it's only Bill and I here no need to stay home we can have our own Thanksgiving Day anytime during the month...bye for now Love, Mom
