Kitchen update

This is week 3 of our kitchen remodeling project and let me tell you, I can't wait for it to be all done. Right now we are waiting for a plumber to move the gas line. As you can see the stove is standing in the middle of the kitchen and it's holding up everything. Hopefully we can get it moved today so that the sheetrock can be hung tomorrow.

They did a really good job patching up the tiles. You can't even tell that there was a wall before. The fridge is in the dining room right now. This little cubby hole will be its new home.

Please keep your fingers crossed that we can start painting by the middle of this week. I am really looking forward to this being done. I know I shouldn't complain, but living in ONE room gets old pretty quick.

You'd also think that eating out is fun all the time: no dirty dishes, no mess to clean in the kitchen . . . well, I'd rather clean up the kitchen; after a while you are just tired of eating out and it's expensive, too.

We also had a little visitor Saturday morning. I was sitting in bed drinking coffee when I saw something running under the dresser. It was too big to be a roach (even though you get to see some big roaches around here) and it had a tail. It was a little mouse!!! It ran out as fast as it ran in. Later it went into the office where it must have been too messy for her and then back into the garage . . . haven't seen it since. Rufus didn't even know it was there; that's how much of a 'watch' puppy he is!!

Oh, and guess what I got!! A traffic ticket, the first in my entire life!!! Who would have thought it would be for something other than speeding??!! Beeing German that's just want you think you'd get it for, but NOPE . . . I got caught on camera running a red light. 110 bucks!! I am actually happy with that penalty, not happy that I have to pay it; but if you do this in Germany, you pay a lot more, get 3 points on your license and a 4 week suspension, I'd rather take the $110!!!!
I'll be more careful around these lights (or the cameras LOL) from now on. It surely taught me a lesson!!
