Easter weekend and more

We spent out Easter weekend on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. We dropped Rufus off at the Vets on Saturday morning on left for Biloxi Saturday evening. We spent the night at Billeting at Keesler AFB. Last time we stayed there the rooms had joined bathrooms, like Dorm rooms have. I wasn't too fond of that and hoped that at least no one was in the other room. After we got there they checked us in into a new renovated building. Everything was brand new, it had a kitchenette, a nice size fridge, and flat screen TV, really nice. After waking up the next morning, we found out that the mattress wasn't all that great. Our backs hurt like hell, I don't think they would have hurt as bad if we had slept in the truck sitting up. You really can't complain about the price of the room, so if we go next time, we will just throw the mattress on the floor :)

We took a drive out to Ocean Springs. Katrina destroyed this bridge and it had to be completely rebuild. I believed it was just re-opened last year.

It was a gorgeous day, just a little windy, can you tell??
On the way home we stopped at the Outlet Mall in Gulfport, that's our little routine. I found this purse on sale, real leather for $21 !! I just couldn't leave it behind :)
Rufus has been on a bird hunt and this bird is protecting her nest which is to the right of the **whateverthehellthenameis** bush. I found a wing in my living room the other night. Thank God I found the rest of the bird outside and his little brother, too. They were both dead, of course and I had to keep Rufus away from them. I had to get a shovel and throw 'em in the trashcan. The poor Mama was screaming the entire time. I think she's still hanging out on the fence from time to time. One morning she was about to attack Rufus, she flew really low and then suddenly pulled up, Rufus didn't notice anything, he was too busy doing his buisness. Our spanish teacher invited us to join him at the "Great Ladies and Great Gentlemen" award ceremony at the Audubon Tea Room. He's the guy with the blue tie in the back. It was really nice. The guy at the podium is a local news guy, Eric Paulsen, so different to see these people in person. Our Lieutenant Governor Mitch Landrieu was there, as well.

We are getting very excited about our cruise!! I've been collecting things to bring along. Only 13 more days!!!
