After driving thru some of the residential areas we stopped at Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville and a few other local highlights.
Margaritaville had its own pier and you could just hang out by the water.

I was really looking forward to visiting Jamaica but was somewhat dissapointed. There was alot of poverty and the people where a little pushy . . . nice but pushy.
We also stopped at Diamonds International to check out the diamonds and Emile got his Movado watch. They had a great deal on it and you would pay twice as much here in the U.S.

The locals were waiting outside of their little booth and followed the tourists around and told them to "Come see mine" , "Let me show you mine", "Don't go there, come see mine", that was a little much for me. Some were really sweet but others a little tooooo pushy.

I think next time we visit Jamaica we'll go to Ochos Rios on the other side of the Island. There's this amazing waterfall in Ochos Rios which you can climb up. We saw it in the Travel Channel and I think that would be lots of fun.
After our little tour we went back to the ship and relaxed for the rest of the day.

Beautiful pictures. I sooooooooooooo need a vacation too... Know all about the pushy vendors, they are just the same in Juarez, Mexico, but we were always able to get a good deal that way on things we liked :)
You're right, you can get great deals. I felt bad for them. I had no idea that they were that poor.
