We visited greek fest, had some great greek food, bought some awesome pita bread . . . can't even compare it to the pita bread you get at WalMart.
Took a ride out to the Lakefront. This is such a pretty area. We passed by Coconut Beach, a volleyball court on beach sand. Some of the little condos right on the lake have not been rebuilt, others have. It's kind of cool how you live upstairs, park your car in the front and your boat in the back of the condo.

We also went to Relay for Life. I'm on a Committee and we raised over $14,000 this year!! We decorated a Luminary in memory of grandma and my father-in-law.
As soon as the sun set the Luminaries were lid
and after a balloon was let go in memory of people who lost their lives to cancer. Our team stays out all night long, from 6 pm till 6 am. We had to leave at 10 because Emile had to work the next day. Next year we'll stay.

Today Rufus sat next to me on the couch while I was reading my book
which my Friend Sabine gave me last time I was in Germany; she always picks the best books!!! anyway, Rufus lifted his head to look at something underneath the chair. All I thought was: "Please don't let it be a roach" . . . I got up, moved the chair and there came a little green Lizard. He ran behind the couch and was soon on top of the couch, at that time Rufus was still sitting on the couch and had no idea, the little Lizard was behind him.
I think those little Lizards are kind of cute, as long as they stay green, don't care so much for the brown ones, I know it's the same Lizard, but I just like them better when they are green. :) I didn't want him to die and had no idea how long he'd been under the chair so I opened the window for him to climb out . . .well he prefered the front door and after about 30 minutes was back where he belongs, on the wall of the front of the house.

love thosse little lizards!!! the other day i had one sitting on the window of the passenger seat... i stopped to get it off and put on a tree or something. i tried to grab it by it's tail... that worked... i had a big old piece of the tail in my hand and the lizard was walking the other direction...
LOL I figured something like that would happen and didn't even try to touch it. Rufus didn't either, it was like the little guy belonged there.
