So We had the cement truck come out, to bring the level of the garage to the same level of the house as per city code. The truck came Tuesday, it was the coolest thing. The cement wasn't already mixed like in those huge round mixing trucks you always see, this one had a water tank and mixed the stuff when you need it.
The guy programed how much he wanted and the consistency and poured it right into the wheel barrel without any mess at all.
They then wheeled it into the Garage, which was framed up already and it was spread out.
Which took no time at all. It's going to be weird not have to take a step down when walking out of the dinning room.
We then had to wait for it to dry a little. Of course it's hot as hell any of the other 363 days of the year but the day we want our concrete to dry, it's nice and cool. They waited about 3 hours before they could float it the 1st time, then wait another hour or so to float it again to make the surface nice and smooth.
We've decided to go with something different than tiles on the floor, it's not wood but you'll just have to be patient before you'll see the end result.Today the garage door is suppose to be taken off and a wall will be build, as well as a wall in the back to seperate the room from the laundry room.
Maybe there'll be some more pics by tomorrow. Rufus of course doesn't like any of the commotion going on in and around the house. We have to take him out front on a leash and then thru the side gate in the back. He can't run thru the room to get out back. I'm sure he'll live through it :)

WOW!, It's been a long time since I went to your blog. You all have been doing a lot of things there. I know I talk to you two about every three days but seeing the pictures are a great way to feel like I'm there with you. I know all will turn out well because you really needed more room in the house.
I'll try to check in here more often then I have done in the pass. Until next time tell Rufi, grammy loves him.
Love you both and God bless you!
