just to hang out a few hours. That was after an exhausting day at work and yard work. We played the Wheel of Fortune . . . just to see the wheel turning, everybody around you get's so excited, we even won a few bucks. Rufus looked surprised when we walked back in the door at 3 am.We just took it easy Saturday, took the truck to the car wash and took a long nap. Saturday evening we went to our 1st DINO (Deutsche in New Orleans/Germans in New Orleans) get together. We met some very nice germans, some are from the part of Germany I'm from. We had a really great time.
We went to eat at the Jaegerhaus, a supponsingly german restaurant, owned by Czechs. Emile had a Wienerschnitzel with Potatoes
and I had a Jaegerschnitzel with Spaetzle, it looked more like a Rahmschnitzel and it also wasn't breaded like it's supposed to be and it didn't come with red cabbage and kraut like the menu said.
We were all a little dissapointed. Not the good german food we expected; I wouldn't send anybody there to eat german food. The best thing I tasted was the cucumber salad, not as good as mine, but pretty good. After dinner we toured the french quarter until 5 am!!! I haven't been out that long in forever. We had a blast and paid for it all day Sunday. I was still a little tired on Monday but we're getting ready for our trip to Alabama this weekend.
Rufus is all excited.
We haven't seen Mr. Snake all week *knockonwood* hopefully he found another yard he likes.
