Another night at the hospital

We spent another night at the hospital for various reasons, one is that we still don't have power at the house and it's pretty hot, but thank God not as blazing hot as it was after Katrina.
Rufus is at home and he seems to be doing fine. He's been eating and drinks his usual amount of water. I will be going home as soon as daylight hits to check on him.

We went home again last night to check on him and spent a little time with him. It rained really hard yesterday and there was a Tornado in the area (what the hell else will be coming this way????) they made everybody go inside in the middle of the building anyway, some of the streets flooded as high as the curb. My poor car thinks it's a boat.
I cleaned all the debris out of the drain in front of the house, the mayor has been slacking!!
The beer in the fridge was still cold and YES I did have one!!!
It got dark on us really quick, we had to take a shower with candle light and the front door open to get a little light. When I got out to get dressed I heard a car and car doors being shut out front. I ran to the door to shut and lock it since I didn't know who it was. Coming to find out is was Kenner PD checking why our front door was open. We were very happy about that!! Knowing that they check on things while everybody is gone and the power is out makes us feel soooo much better.

On our way back we did see that the power was coming back in some areas. The storm yesterday made it very hard for the utility workers but they got some of it up and running.

I need a vacation!!!!
