This was the Treasure Chest Casino while Hurricane Ike made his way to TX. The wind was whipping across the lake and flooded the driveway to the boat. The casino was closed, I'm sure some people were upset!This is the floodgate that is normally open, it crosses over the levee. We walked down to the bike path which was already flooded, as you can see. This was the flooding outside our house, not during Ike, this was last Saturday during an unforcasted downpour. The water came all the way up to the sidewalk. The drain is right in front of our driveway. I think there are only 2 drains in our street. One in front of our house and one further down the street. Today, 2 days later, water is still draining.

This boy will find a way to get comfortable, no matter where. We pulled everything off of the couch to wash it and he took a nap right there on the pile of blankets.
